About

The Shattered Hearts

since circa 2013
The Shattered Hearts are a group of six of the West Coast's finest musicians
and performers. Their collective, eclectic, musical backgrounds allow them
to play everything from Soundgarden, to Katy Perry, to Spirit of the West,
to classic songs from the 60's to present day. The band always gives 100%,
whether playing to 10 people or 1000. They all get the very best the band has
to offer.

The Shattered Hearts are:

Allegra B.(Vocals/Violin/Mandola) - Allegra has been singing since she was three, and a fiddler since
she was 9. She is a long time member of the Victoria Soul and Gospel Choir,
giving her a strong foundation in Soul, R & B, and Roots music. Although small
in stature, her big soulful voice, and strong stage presence, will amaze those
who have yet to hear her perform.

Peter Jones (Vocals/Bass/Keyboards) - Peter has been a mainstay of the Canadian music scene
for several years now. He holds a Degree in Music from The University of Victoria, and
has put it to good use, playing with everyone from Michael Buble to The Paperboys. Peter
brings with him a vast knowledge of soul, R & B, Modern Rock, and Pop music.

Matt Pease (Drums /Percussion) - A powerhouse drummer who's CV reads like a who's who of
the West Coast music scene. Matt has played every type of music from Punk to Jazz,
and is the engine that drives the band. He has played with such noted artists as Fishbone,
Daniel Lapp, Lee Aaron and Green Day. All this expierience makes Matt the perfect drummer
for The Shattered Hearts.

Aaron Scoones (Vocals/Lead Guitar/Keyboards/Bass) - A "Swiss Army Knife" of sorts in the Victoria
music scene, Aaron plays a multitude of instruments in a vast assortment of bands. Aaron plays
an assortment of roles in such bands as The Timebenders, The Adults, and Tonic. He is also an accomplished
engineer, currently taking care of Technical Operations at Victoria's noted Electric City Sound.

Chris Trygg (Vocals/Guitar/Percussion/Mandola) - Chris has been part of the West Coast music
scene for many years. Amongst other things, he formed the legendary Roxy house band Dr. Strangelove,
has written with artists ranging from Wynonna Judd to DOA. Chris is an entirely self-taught
musician, who's tastes run from Hank Williams to The Clash. Noted for his on stage energy,
Chris feels it's his duty to get people rockin'.

Ashley Wey (Vocals/Keyboards/Bass) Ashley has been a working musician since the age of 15. Her
remarkable talents on the piano led her to a Degree in Jazz Performance from Humber College.
Since then, she has gone on to work with "Canadian Idol" and "American Idol" winners and finalists,
The Parachute Club, Mae Moore, 4 time Grammy winner Mann Kelough, to mention just a
few. Her "Take No Prisoners" attitude on stage makes her a firebrand performer, and a big
part of the Shattered Hearts sound.
