THE INVADERS are 4 guys from Vancouver, Canada who play loudish, farfisa / guitar driven indie rock and roll. Formerly members of The Deadcats, The Mean Reds, Undermars, DD Astor, Los Disastros, The Windups, Aquavelva and Ringpiece who will now be one of your favorite bands!
The Georgia Straight’s Steve Newton Said, “The Invaders hint at world domination of the power-pop genre with these five extremely catchy numbers, smartly produced by Damn the Diva alumnus Jerry Wong. The musical stylings of “Farfisa operator” Dusty Idaho are topnotch, and guitarist-vocalist Jake Jacob’s words of wisdom flow freely between the layers of ringing guitars”. Local promoter, Frank Rumbletone said “THE INVADERS are my favourite local band” and has been giving them regular rotation on his show on CITR 101.9FM as well as spots on many Rumbletone Production Showcases around Vancouver. Having competed in this year’s CITR battle of the bands, “SHINDIG”, THE INVADERS have played live on CITR’s Thunderbird Radio Hell in January.
THE INVADERS just completed a 5 song EP at Hush Studios in Burnaby with Vic Levak (Balligomingo/RCA/BMG New York) and Jerry Wong (Damn the Diva, Bif Naked).
THE INVADERS now have an independent A&R deal with Delinquent Records who will be representing them at top music conferences in France, Germany such as Midem. Pop Komm and Canadian Music week in Toronto.
The Invaders have a spot on This year’s “TEA South” Volume 4 ( Toronto Experimental Artists) Compilation Disc.
