Sophie Villeneuve

Originally from La Tuque, Quebec, Sophie is writter-singer. In French or in English, she like to use a variety of instrument. She mixes the guitar, the ukulele, the piano, the harmonica and the trumpet.
After starting in Whitehorse with "Open mic" events, she joins Yukon Women in Music.
Alonside her performances, Sophie goes on with song writing. In March 2016, she records her first demo with Green Needle Records.
In 2016, Sophie receives a grant to record a professional version of her song "Where you belong"
And in 2016, she is selected to represent Yukon during the competition Pacifique en chanson. During the 1 week training, Sophie will have the opportunity to benefit from a professional coaching - alongside with 3 other participants from BC.
