Sleigh Bells

Sleigh Bells is a noise pop duo from Brooklyn, New York, composed of Derek E. Miller on guitar and synthesizer and Alexis Krauss on vocals. Derek E. Miller is the former guitarist of the band Poison the Well. The duo met and formed in 2008, when Miller was waiting tables on Alexis and her mother in a diner. Miller mentioned he was looking for a female vocalist to work on a musical project with, which Alexis' mother immediately volunteered her for. The two have released several tracks online, which have garnered significant attention from the New York Times, Pitchfork Media, ABC's Amplified, and other sources. Pitchfork named their song "Crown on the Ground" the 57th best track of 2009. They will be performing at the 2010 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Pitchfork Music Festival as well as releasing their debut album in 2010.
