Event Description

Discover the joy of music! Try - and borrow - an instrument from Joe's M.I.L.L. without the need to travel downtown.

This pop-up is offered in partnership with Joe's M.I.L.L. (Joe Chitalen Memorial Musical Instruments Lending Library), with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Joe's M.I.L.L. has over 1,000 instruments available to borrow to members of the community.

A membership with Joe's M.I.L.L. is required to borrow an instrument.

To register with Joe's M.I.L.L., you will need to provide:

Minimum age for borrowing is 14 years of age. Parent/Guardian consent is required for borrowers under 14 years of age.
Photo ID showing date of birth
Document from the last 30 days showing current residential address, such as a utility bill or online shopping receipt. It can be physical or digital.
A registration recovery of $15 which helps offset increasing operating costs. The library accepts cash, debit, credit, and cheques. There are, as always, no charges or fees to borrow an instrument
The borrowing period is 4 weeks (28 days) after which the instrument must be returned. Instruments may only be returned to the Rideau Heights Branch during Pop-Ups. They may be returned to the M.I.L.L. at the Tett Centre for Learning and Creativity during open hours.
