Bill and the Belles
American stringband, Bill and the Belles is a Johnson City, TN-based band known for combining a stringband format with their signature harmonies, candid songwriting, and pop sensibilities. Their delightfully deadpan new album, Happy Again, is full of life, humor, and tongue-in-cheek explorations of love and loss.

Bill and the Belles is Kris Truelsen on guitar, fiddler Kalia Yeagle, banjo/banjo-uke player Aidan VanSuetendael, and bassist Andrew Small.

Kris Truelsen is also the producer and host of PBS TV show ‘Farm and Fun Times’, with Bill and the Belles supplying musical breaks, jingles, and songs. The program features various segments highlighting Appalachian culture including farm visits, heirloom recipes and folklife traditions. Farm and Fun Time is truly a celebration of what live radio/television once represented and still can!

In the 1940s and the 1950s, Farm & Fun Time was an important program in the southern US which helped to establish the careers of legendary performers including Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, the Stanley Brothers, the Osborne Brothers, Mac Wiseman, The Blue Sky Boys and many more. Bill and the Belles are incredibly proud to be the house band and a part of reviving radio history. Farm and Fun Time broadcasts live from the Birthplace of Country Music Museum every second Thursday of the month.
