Event Archive - BioBlitz 2021:

Sat. May 1st 2021 - Sat. May 1st 2021 @  Ladysmith, Yellow Point Ladysmith BC (All Ages)
6am - 8pm
Free
The goal for our BioBlitz is for local people to record as many flora and fauna as possible during the three-day event. The information is on the Yellow Point Ecological Society's website, along with our map. If you register for the BioBlitz, you might win one of four amazing field guides.

Our aim is to engage people from Ladysmith in the south to South Nanaimo in the North, from Cassidy in the west to our coastal waters in the east. Your observations can include all types of life, dead or alive, native or non-native, with special attention to invasive species and endangered or at risk species. If you are an early morning bird watcher, you can start at dawn. If you prefer species that are active just before dusk, you can continue until dark. Don't forget to upload your observations by 8pm each day for them to count towards that day's prize.
