Sat. April 17th 2021 - Sat. April 17th 2021 @  On Zoom Ladysmith BC (All Ages)
11:00am - 12:00pm
Livestream
Looking for a art class to let loose and get a little messy? Join us for a fun and crafty clay day as you turn your kitchen into your very own pottery studio. In this online class, we explore the famous 'selfie' as we gather on Zoom with local potter Lee Stead who will walk us through every step as we create a fun and surprising standing replica of yourself from the shoulders up. Hair, maybe a hat or glasses, a cat curled around your shoulders, wings, or anything that says "this is me!" can be added. Clay and firing is included, and you can paint the finished project at your leisure after the firing. Gather the family together or meet up with your friends on Zoom or explore clay on your own, this class is for everyone!

Participants will pick up the clay on April 15 from 444 Parkhill Terrace in Ladysmith , build their selfies together at home over Zoom, then snap their creations back to be fired by the instructor. Delivery is available only if a volunteer can be found for your area, contact the gallery to check if this is an option for you.

Other materials you will need include:
- sharp pencil,
- water,
- garlic press (optional, but fun),
- rolling pin or water bottle,
- newspaper
