Event Description
You are invited to join us on a musical journey through time and space featuring Kurt Loewen (Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra), Hank Pine (Hank & Lily) and Rugged Uncle. Expect an evening of folk, rock & roll, hip hop, indie rock and more! Graciously supported by Creative BC and presented by the Copper Owl Hidden Sounds Concert Series.

Kurt Loewen
Kurt Loewen is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently residing in Calgary, Alberta. He has spent much of his career in music writing, performing and traveling with The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra. His debut solo record, Heavy & Low, is a collection of songs about relationships; love, change, and moving on. A sonically disparate album compared to previous projects, Heavy & Low is a candid and frank offering speaking to the challenges and beauty in the connections we hold close.

Hank Pine
A former Mr. Nude Universe, Hank Pine is one part evangelist, two parts soothsayer, and all heart. He is excited to bring a different show to the Copper Owl where he will play death metal, songs from his 4 musicals, synth jams and crass hip hop.

One of Victoria's finest rock bands, made up of members of Western Birds, Immaculate Machine, The New Pornographers, and The Grand Ole Country Band. Anthemic indie rock that will make you dance and sing along.
