Event Description
Welcome to the 5th edition of Temple, the first of 2019!
Join us March 8 for a special edition of Temple, as we celebrate International Women's Day. Portions of ticket sales from this event will be donated to the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre.
We invite people of all gender expressions, sexualities and from all walks of life to honor women and the feminine spirit. The look, feel, and sound of the night is all going to have a more feminine quality, while still holding to dark and strange aspects that makes Temple what it is.
This event is in collaboration with Womxn's Week at the VEC (March 4-11), and part of a 2-event series brought to you by Dubversified Culture that highlights women in March: Temple – Edition 5 (March 8) and Bass Hive XII - Ladies Night Vol. 3 (March 30).
See you there!

LINEUP:
Mandai
Mandai has been a long-time staple in Vancouver's underground bass scene for over a decade. She started out by spending countless hours digging elbow-deep in crates of 45s in Canada, the US and Jamaica. Her finely curated sets landed her behind the decks at legendary events and firmly solidified her as a member of Vancouver's notorious LIGHTA! crew. She is well-known for her legendary mixes, some being all-vinyl releases, her true love. Blending reggae/dancehall with current bass/rap/RnB/grime, her musical repertoire is expansive and fresh. She regularly performs at Bass Coast, Shambhala and her family-run festival The Field. She rocked the Thunder Stage at LIB and made ripples at the Moon Stage at the Oregon Eclipse when she covered for Om Unit. She has opened for well-known artists in both the reggae/dancehall and international underground music scenes and can be found behind the decks at underground parties spanning the west coast and several other major musical hubs.
