Event Description
9:30 Inkster
he aural version of squid ink on canvas, Inky provides a mosaic tapestry of electronic sounds. That said, this bio goes no further, since the best way to experience music, is not through reading descriptions, but through listening.
10:30 LYSSA
Having spent 11 years in Mexico, and being fortunate enough to be exposed to Latin culture, Lyssa has a strong desire to explore her roots in her musical selections. Lyssa's style could be described as sexy, smooth, organic, & classy, and depending on what what mood we catch her in, expect anything from rolling Chicago house, bouncy ethnic house, deep and lush, slamming tech house, soulful funk and disco, and even quirky leftfield...
Lyssa has had the privilege of performing at summer festivals such as Shambhala Music Festival, Victoria Electronic Music Festival, Entheos Gathering, Fozzyfest, and in 2014 made her US debut at the Northwest House Music Conference in Portland, Oregon. Since then she has been blessed to have been invited to play in Milwaukee, D.C., and Chicago at the legendary Smartbar.
In 2015 Lyssa took the leap into music production, and has had three releases since. She has been working steadily during 2018 on a new multi-track release coming out on a prominent label from California, featuring both her vocal and production work.
11:30 Slim Media Player
12:30 Braue
Braue (aka Lyndsy Brow) was born and raised in the rainforest basin of Vancouver, British Columbia. Misty, shrouded and often impenetrable, the region’s influence drenches Braue’s music and brings a deep, contemplative and rain kissed coastal feeling to every mix, production and event. With over 15 years at the controls, and as an integral part of the aptly named Subversive Music, Braue has hosted and played alongside such house and techno luminaries as The Black Madonna, Daniel Bell, DVS1, Efdemin, Joey Anderson, Prosumer, Steffi.. the list goes on. A classically trained pianist, natural musicality and attention to fine detail are hallmarks of Braue's sound. Whether recording as Coral Beech (Panel Records, Rhombus), performing as Braue or pushing things forward through events and record label (UBU) with brother and collaborator "Jesse Bru", Braue's impeccable taste, profound musical knowledge and attitude are always front and centre. Recent time spent in Berlin and beyond have pushed Braue to hone and sharpen a formidable arsenal of moody, tough and worldly sounds crafted for the discerning dance floor.
