Event Archive - LIVE KICKSTARTER: MIX OF SUN AND CLOUD:

Tue. May 1st 2018 - Thu. May 24th 2018 @  KICKSTARTER Duncan BC (All Ages)
Opening: Thursday 1st January 1970
My goal is to raise $400 to cover the cost of a printing run of 50 physical copies of my newly created photography zine, MIX OF SUN AND CLOUD, utilizing the Kickstarter platform as a way for anyone interested to pre-order a copy of their very own.

MIX OF SUN AND CLOUD is my second foray into print zine making. The haunting, scenic images contained within its pages is another photographic love letter dedicated to this majestically beautiful place I get to call my home - Vancouver Island, situated on the far west coast of Canada.

In this body of work, I attempt to convey a sense of how the natural lighting, atmospheric/climatic conditions, and topography of a place interact and shape one another, and how these awe-inspiring natural forces in turn influence the unique local culture and human impact on the environment. Sense of movement, spontaneity, and narrative are also major themes captured in my work.
Also included within the pages, a special poem contributed by the mysterious @midnight_mullings, in what is hopefully the first of many collabs to come.
