LES MURALES is a public art opportunity open to both older children (12+) and adults. All materials provided.
Members of the public are invited to each PAINT a tile commemorating the history among French, English, and Chinook languages.. Tiles from each of Les Murales events will be combined into a larger installation by local artist and Cowichan Intercultural Society member Françoise Moulin. After it’s completed, this mural will tour Vancouver Island and be installed permanently at the Societe Francophone de Victoria.
Activites kick off at 5PM with a short concert featuring historical songs sung in Chinook, French and English.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
