Event Description

Quiet City is a series of deep-listening concerts in Vancouver, focused on live performances of experimental, electronic and improvised music in a comfortable and intimate setting. Established in January 2010, we are now in our eighth year of programming.

■ GRETCHEN SNAKES ■
https://gretchensnakes.bandcamp.com/

Gretchen Snakes is the solo project of the hyper-prolific Brody McKnight, member of Nu Sensae, V. Vecker Ensemble, Heavy Chains, Mutators, and Sex Negatives.

■ HIGH PLAINS ■
https://highplainskranky.bandcamp.com/

High Plains is the new duo of Scott Morgan (Loscil) and Mark Bridges, who recently released their debut album Cinderland on Kranky Records. Combining electronics, cello, and field recordings, High Plains draw from classical, electronic, and film music but mostly are inspired by the rugged, mythic landscape of their geographical namesake.

■ WILD CARD ■

Wild Card is a new electro-acoustic modular trio consisting of Marcus Fischer (12k recording artist, Unrecognizable Now, Secret Drum Band), Paul Dickow (Strategy), and William Selman (Warmdesk). All three multidisciplinary artists bring their seasoned, unique perspectives to the instrumental music landscape.
