Butoh Workshop with Billy Marchenski

Inspired by time spent recently in Japan studying with Butoh masters Akaji Maro, Natsu Nakajima and Yoshito Ohno, this workshop will focus on the embodiment of image, with the question “What is the body?” Participants will practice a warmup, followed by individual and group exercises that push physical limits. We will then learn a series of simple, concrete images, and try to find physical expression that is clear, and deeply personal. This workshop is $25.00.
