"Ya had a lotta guts, lady... a lotta guts." When the S.S. Poseidon was making its New Year's journey from New York to Greece, it is struck by a 90-foot tidal wave. With the Captain dead, Rev. Scott (Gene Hackman) has to lead surviving passengers to safety while averting fires, flooding, debris and sinking. Who will survive in one of the greatest escape adventures ever!
