Event Description
SOFT ALARM (psych/electronic/soul)

"At once tender and jarring, Soft Alarm's hazy, sun-warped synths and pulsing beats-like-palpatations lay the foundation for jangly guitars and trembling vocals. Sweeping forward slowly like a heavy sigh, collapsing like a shrugged shoulder, cold like a late night."
THE LISTENING PARTY (art rock/folk)
http://music.cbc.ca/#!/artists/Listening-Party
"We held our breath under water until we passed out. When we hit the bottom of the lake our bones were beating in unison. Lost out in the middle of nowhere changing tires with indiglo beams. Based outta Shawnigan Lake, these 3 ruggedly handsome, chiseled bodied, well educated, stunning, cultured, luscious wavy brown haired, icy glacier, Caribbean Atlantic blue eyed, filthy rich, open minded, open eyed, open eared, open hearted, young single(and wanna mingle)LEGENDS! Have brought together birds and bee's, God and Satan, life and death, ying and yang, night and day, East to West, Good and Bad, up and down, earth, wind and fire, creating the sounds of cetaceans, thunder storms, streams flowing into a waterfall, a pin dropping in a compression stacked auditorium, a ninja running on a huge keyboard (like at science world or on the movie "Big") to form LISTENING PARTY!!!!!"
GRIMWOOD (psych/post-rock)
http://www.facebook.com/grimwoodvictoria
http://grimwood.bandcamp.com/
"What is Grimwood about, you ask? They are post-rock and, frankly, post-sentiment. They embrace the sounds and even the vibes of the ’70s and late ’60s, but they firmly reject the hippy-dippy notion of a brighter tomorrow. Does that make them post-caring? No. Not at all." - Ride the Tempo
THE ECCHOING GREEN
"Deep in a grove of scattered pines, as morning climbs above few drops of dew a band of minstrels pluck a tune. The Ecchoing Green is Noah Sherrin (Words and Chords), Connor Jurgensen (Bass and Grace), Nixie Palm (Drone and Tone) and Max Ely (Beats and Beets). They sing songs about thee spaces in between and getting very lost in the woods. They mostly all believe in magic."
