Sultry tones and soulful interpretation, Edie Daponte is establishing a reputation within the music scene of Vancouver Island and mainland BC. Edie is excited to be releasing her second studio album, Young at Heart. This is a collection Edie's own original material alongside some of her and her fans' favourite standards.
A regular performer in her home town of Sidney as the house singer for the Beacon Landing, Edie has performed at festivals including the Victoria Jazz Festival and the Vancouver Latin Festival. www.edie.ca
A special treat for her audience is in store as Edie asked Glaucia Desrochers to be the opening act for the Sylvan Concert. Glaucia is the local vocalist who starred as Billie Holiday in the Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society production of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill to sell out performances in November and December.
