The Staggers & Jaggs ain't just some jive ass jazzed up, jugged up, bluesy swing band with colorful melodies and upbeat rhythms ... they're a jive ass jazzed up, jugged up, bluesy swing band with colorful melodies and upbeat rhythms WITH one of the most soulful powerhouse vocalists i've heard in ages. that lady's got some lungs i tells ya! featuring members of Devil In the Wood Shack, this is THE SHOES and many more.
Salt Spring Island's Ferocious Timbre Mouse is a little shrouded in mystery but incredibly committed to music ... surfacing every other six months or so with their homemade instruments and blistering juggish bluegrass songs. driving rhythm, playful picking, this outfit takes toe tapping to foot stomping in record time!
COMPASS are some incredibly talented kids and adequately named as they can range all over the map. melding groovy blues, roots, modern jazz and prog rock for a unique sound i've yet to hear anywhere else. female fronted, moody but quite easy to move to.
The Jins are an up and coming 3pc sonic assault! heavily influenced by that pre-grunge seattle sound, with a touch of so-cal pop punk sensibility and a willingness to try new things. easily and appropriately dubbed 'Fun Rock' ... clearly the right band to get this party started!
