The Galiano Ensemble of Victoria is celebrating its 15th season this year! The celebration represents 15 years of music-making, a 15-years musical relationship between the players and their conductor, and 15 years of performing for our audience.
As a special Thank You to our supporters, we will be performing selections chosen from requests submitted by our subscribers. These audience choices include some of the best known and most loved string orchestra music.
The performance will include Peter Warlock's Capriol Suite, Sir Edward Elgar's Serenade for Strings, Edvard Grieg's Two Nordic Melodies Op. 63, Jean Sibelius' Romance, Benjamin Britten's Simple Symphony, and Leo Weiner's Divertimento No. 1 (Old Hungarian Dances) Op. 20.
You are certain to be entertained by these exciting musical selections. Be sure to join us in celebrating the conclusion to the Galiano’s 15th season with a delightful evening of wonderful chamber music performed by Conductor Yariv Aloni and the orchestra.
