Chinatown Events presents RED DEVIL DISCO:: A night with KOOSH [4 hour set]
The vinyl bug bit Koosh in 1990. Within months he was playing records at underground parties in the early days of Vancouver’s loft scene. A move to Victoria a couple years later saw him DJing most nights in any and all of the capitals bars and clubs. Playing every style of the day from soul thru to hip hop, disco, house and techno. A decade passed before he settled into the soul and disco records he loves to this day. Starting the label "7 Inches Of Love" with The Mole exposed the world to his first productions along with the work of Eddie C, Ted Pilsner, and Cristobal. A run in with fellow reveler Dane a couple years later inspired a new label called Common Edit, which Koosh dropped some more nuggets on. It's success was followed with releases on Eddie C's Red Motorbike label. Having played for more then 25 years Koosh has DJed a lot. From the dive bars of Berlin to the coastal Meccas of Shambalah and Soundwave. And the newer festivals of Riflfandia and Tall Tree. His all vinyl collection will leave even the most seasoned diggers and jocks in envy
