Featuring A Touch of Brass and Eric Hamber Women’s Chorale
The brilliance of brass lights up Elektra’s celebration of the Christmas season. For many, Chez Nous has become the concert that launches the festive season in style with traditional melodies and exciting new works. On the program will be the world premiere of Winter’s Grace by Edward Henderson (poem by Luci Shaw), a work honouring the memory of the late Diane Loomer. Ola Gjeilo’s Northern Lights, in a new voicing for women’s choir will receive its world premiere, and we also feature the Western Canadian premiere of Gloria by Ontario composer Larysa Kuzmenko. Join us in New Westminster or Vancouver as we welcome special guests the Eric Hamber Women’s Chorale and their director Les Nerling and A Touch of Brass for our Christmas gift to you.
