Event Description

Black Spruce Bog, from Prince George, are making their Vancouver debut. With roots set deep in the northern soil, Black Spruce Bog brings a sound and tells the stories of people and the land they live on. The mossy floor of a spruce bog is not an easy place to thrive; but with the right mix of rhythm, rhyme, and ruckus, any sapling can find the light. www.blacksprucebog.com

The Wild Romantics - Armed with just two voices, guitar and sparse percussion, their music has drawn comparisons to the haunting, intimate folk of The Civil Wars to energetic, foot stomping, southern driven rock n’ roll in the spirit of Shovels and Rope and Johnny Cash. The Wild Romantics put immense value on being able to share their stories of love, life, loss and learning by taking their own experiences and creating stories that audiences relate to personally and can take home with them.

Windy Bridges - The Windy Bridges are a folk band from Vancouver, British Columbia, featuring Danielle Greschner on lead vocals and mandolin, Blake “Two Streams” McAndless on lead vocals and banjo, Corey Bryant on guitar and vocals, and James Rees on double bass and vocals. Their style includes a balanced blend of folk ballads and foot-stomping bluegrass jams, combining traditional sounds with a modern edge. Their original repertoire is marked by tight vocal harmonies and poetic -and occasionally humorous- lyrics. Musical influences of this charismatic quartet include The Band, Emmy Lou Harris, Paul Simon, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
