Classical saxophonist and composer Colin MacDonald presents arrangements of baroque favourites for baritone and soprano saxophones. Colin is joined by baroque music specialists Christina Hutten on harpsichord, and Marina Hasselberg on cello. This program re-imagines baroque music as though the saxophone had been invented in the 17th Century. Included works are Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in Em, RV 484; J.S. Bach's well-loved Suite V, BVW 1011, arranged for baritone saxophone; George Handel's Trio Sonata in Gm, op. 2 no. 8, KWV 393, for baritone saxophone and cello; and Colin MacDonald's Folie à Deux, variations on the renaissance melody La Folìa.
