Event Description

Announcing The Electro Vaudeville Festival 2014!
Proudly Presented by Electro Swing Vancouver your local source of all things Electro Swing!

This year our legendary Electro Vaudeville Festival is at The Iconic Waldorf!!! The entire Waldorf has been lovingly and painstakingly restored by its new owners, making it one of the LAST of the historically accurate venues left in our fair city! The Tiki Room ambiance is back! The Electro Vaudeville Festival will have The Waldorf jumpin’ and jivin’ once again, we are bringing you the Vintage Vibes of the day in a way no other venue or promoter can.
Electro Vaudeville Festival will be taking over of the whole Waldorf Hotel; Four Rooms and an outside stage!!!

Electro Vaudeville Festival is a place where classy lasses and scruffy scoundrels alike come to enjoy a hoppin’, swingin’ good time on their feet!

Come jive to the vintage tunes and fresh modern beats of electro swing, jazz, blues and rock'n'roll performed by bands from across Europe and North America and let your heart lead you on a journey through time. Beware: You are certain to meet some exciting folks along the way! Burlesque and Boylesque performers will be tantalizing on-lookers. Gentlemen, be prepared to take off your hats for the jaw dropping performances by circus and sideshow freaks. Give a holler for the cabaret performers, and a nod waaay up to the stilt-walkers.

Electro Swing is a new dance music sensation that has been quickly gaining momentum at a select few events this year. Old-school swing and jazz songs are revamped and revisited, wrapped up in sick modern beats and sultry bass lines. Past meets future in an exciting and unique way that’s sure to get your feet moving.
Our event welcomes one and all, ordinary and extraordinary. Only here can you meet a Victorian dandy, a 50's style swing dancer and a dreaded belly dancer dancing together to the sweet rhythms of electro.

Dress up in your favorite Retro/Swing/Circus/Beatnicks/B-Grrls/SteamPunk/Rat Packers, era influenced attire!

Look who we are smuggling over the border this year:

Bad boys Dutty Moonshine the bastardisation of Electro Swing from England!
Dutty Moonshine are a mash-up collective of DJ's who lace bass heavy sets together with a vintage sound.
"Dutty Moonshine's set was definitely the highlight of my Secret Garden festivities. Decadent, glamorous, fun and darn right sexy... Toe tappin', hip shakin', ball breakin', we couldn't stop. Long live the mighty Dutty" - Kate from the Puppini Sisters

The Sweet Life Society, the first Italian electro-swing project!
The creaking sound of old school vinyl is not enough for the eccentric band “Sweet Life Society”; the talented group that mix contemporary tunes with old school “Cotton Club”, re-styling the “Swing Music Culture” into a mix of electronic sounds, while also adding the performance of live instruments from the best “Torinese” Jazz scene.
