CASE STUDIES bio:
Case Studies is the musical project of Jesse Lortz, a prolific Seattle based musician. His lyrics wax and wane with truth and bare tales from his life. Melodies surface as lines hummed in the in-between times. These easy melodies coat the heavy subject matter of suicide, heartbreak, grief and regret. As with his previous project, The Dutchess and the Duke, listening to Case Studies feels like taking part in an exploration of sentimental landscapes. They appear and fade like dark light lingering on the horizon. The meandering verse journeys to seek comfort in loneliness and vulnerability. Through the twisted subconscious, dawn breaks, breathing its light on both the joyous and dismal occasions that mark life’s milestones, each song a continuation of his story, each song a probing examination of motivation and consequences.

NERVE CITY bio:
Fucked up druggy psych-pop from a one-man band out of Richmond, Virginia. At the core, his songs are incredibly well written and played melodic songs with nods to the classics like the Stones and VU, but the note-perfect production that’s gone into each song adds an immense amount of haunting atmosphere and the final product is simply quite astounding. From minimalist folk songs, to full, lurching, droning epics this record contains absolutely no trace of filler and will stick with you immediately upon first listen. Perfect for those dark, dreary, cold days of winter. Previous releases on Hozac, Kill Shaman, and Sacred Bones.

SEX CHURCH bio:
Influenced in equal parts by Cheater Slicks and Spacemen 3, Sex Church displays a perfect balancing act between depraved aggression and hypnotic psych. The band consists of four people, featuring ex/current members of Catholic Boys, Defektors, Ladies Night, and Vapid. They have records out on Hozac, Sweet Rot and Convulsive records.
