Event Description
A passion for dance, a love of Canada and a 25th Anniversary to celebrate inspired artistic director Bengt Jorgen to produce a major new production of the much-loved, quintessential ballet, Swan Lake. While retaining the extraordinary beauty of traditional ballet in its purest form, Jorgen has added a hint of Canadian heritage by setting this Swan Lake in the picturesque seascape of the Fortress of Louisberg, Nova Scotia, complete with 17th century costumes. Performing for the first time on Vancouver Island, this award-winning dance company is renowned for bringing the best in ballet to international and Canadian audiences.
