Scott McLeod is one of Vancouver’s finest guitarists and his debut album, 'Big Top', is a tip of the hat to Ennio Morricone's soundscapes with a bit of circus style thrown in for good measure. Instrumental, Americana, guitar-heavy, cinematic and atmospheric, there's no showing off here, no inferno of notes; this is music that honors the melody line and mood, and it takes you somewhere.
