The Galiano Ensemble opens its 13th season with a delightful program of music by Czech composers. Included in the performance are Divertimento for Strings by Oskar Morawetz, Serenade for Strings by Josef Suk and Serenade for Strings by Antonín Dvořák.
Two of the most beloved string serenades are those by Dvorak and his young student and son-in-law, Josef Suk. They are cheerful yet full of nostalgia. Also on the program is a beautiful and fresh divertimento by the Czech-Canadian composer Oskar Morawetz. Join Conductor Yariv Aloni and the orchestra as they begin their season with a wonderful evening of classical music enjoyment.
