The Crawl:
The Ministry of Casual Living – 1442 Haultain, show runs Fri Nov 2nd-9th, soft opening Nov 2 7pm
The Fifty Fifty Arts Collective – 2516 Douglas show runs Oct 26th to Nov 4th, soft opening Oct 26 7pm
Open Space – 510 Fort-unveiling Nov 3rd for the crawl, woven room installation in process from Oct. 26th to opening night.
Program:
Starting at the Ministry, moving to Fifty Fifty, final stop at Open Space with a wrap-up party at the home of Brenda Christine St. Pierre on the night of SATURDAY NOV 3rd, 2007. Shows run at the participating galleries on the dates stated above, all three galleries will be hosting open houses for the crawl on Saturday Nov 3rd.
This downtown art crawl will be feature local contemporary, emerging Aboriginal artists representing a diversity of cultural groups, ideas and mediums. Honoring and celebrating the foundations of their starting points, these artists are actively engaging and renovating the past with their own visual language. Exploring ideas about healing and transformation, they embrace the fluidity, flux and hybridization of contemporary life.Artists:
