Event Description

. Friday, May 6th IMU presents HARMA WHITE, The SWILLS, CRIMINAL CATERPILLER & 64FUNNYCARS @ The Railway Club, 579 Dunsmuir . 9pm / $10 cover @ the door

HARMA WHITE - Since its beginning, Harma White has always brought a heavy dose of rock and roll along with a strong passion for getting the crowd moving and rocking out. Reviving a long lost tradition of keeping sounds raw and real, they've won over concert goers and musicians alike. Consistent gigging and hard work has kept the Abbotsford trio creating and pushing the boundaries of their sound while sharing stages with bands like Finger 11 and You Say Party We Say Die! http://www.myspace.com/harmawhite

The SWILLS - Combining killer heavy riffs with catchy melodies, kick-ass rhythms, and songs that actually have something to say, The Swills are the perfect solution to the mundane modern rock blues! http://www.myspace.com/theswills

CRIMINAL CATERPILLAR - Formerly known as Koro Kidinga, Criminal Caterpillar is a progressive art-rock group from the Lower Mainland. Inspired by bands ranging from The Mars Volta and Radiohead to King Crimson and Mr. Bungle. "Enough lyric and tempo changes to keep you occupied without losing the touches of prog that set them apart from boring old rock bands" - Backstage Vancouver http://www.myspace.com/criminalcaterpillar

64 FUNNYCARS - These rootsy Victoria-based power poppers from the late 80s/early 90s have recently reunited with their original lineup to thrill audiences old and new alike. They'll be playing a full-length set featuring songs from all of their releases plus some cool covers and even a few new songs. With college radio chart success and extensive touring alongside bands like The Buzzcocks, The Posies, The Skydiggers and Mojo Nixon, this is a show that's not to be missed! http://www.64funnycars.com
