Event Description

. Saturday, Oct 25th I.M.U. presents PUNCH CHARMING, CITY OF GLASS, ANATHEMATIC & WAY TO GO EINSTEIN @ PUB 340, 340 Cambie Street / Purchase advance tickets online @ www.imuproductions.com

PUNCH CHARMING - Formed in mid-September of 2007, Punch Charming is what happens when God decides to wrap kittens in rainbows and light up. Combining ragged funk/ska/rockabilly grooves and the catcalls of frontwoman Casey Wei, Punch Charming puts on an electric live show.

CITY OF GLASS play way-too-catchy indie-pop rock music that ventures into the land of Bloc Party guitars, Weezer rhythms and Snow Patrol vocals. Their songs are the kind that stay in your head and keep you awake all night... sorry about that!

ANATHEMATIC - Formed by ex-members of THE NEW ACRONYMS, this 3 piece is influenced by British alternative, industrial trip hop and hardcore punk. Finding new pleasure in delivering hot sonic flavors to the ears of those starving in a stagnant musical wasteland, Anathematic has realized its true potential: playing diverse, dynamic alternative rock influenced by bands ranging from Radiohead and Muse to Nine Inch Nails and Massive Attack. Playing both originals and covers, Anathematic are intent on bringing a striking and innovative brand of rock music to Vancouver.

WAY TO GO EINSTEIN is a solid modern rock act that blends superb guitars and piano with creative songwriting. Favourably compared to acts like Muse and Coldplay, they recently completed their second CD "Pseudonym", to be released in early 2009. In the past few months they've been playing throughout Vancouver, bringing the intensity of their new songs to a live setting. Building on the buzz of their first release "Hide and Seek Champion", their new album promises to bring much more attention, stimulated ears, moved souls, and ironic band name loving fans.
