WINSTON channels emotionally powerful, hook-filled songs, luring listeners in with innovative guitar lines and solid rhythms. After releasing the critically acclaimed album "Passengers" through Maple last year, Winston is set to release a highly anticipated follow-up CD. Electric, eclectic and accessible, "Winston's material is sophisticated enough to impress even the most jaded radio listener." -- Vue Weekly http://www.winstonmusic.com
The CLIPS - This eclectic collective of musicians was inspired to grow a beard large and thick enough to conceal street squirrels and other filthy rodents, during especially long episodes of studio recording (which soon became a convenient food reserve). Today The Clips dwell in a dirty cave near the Port of Vancouver, and its studio masters have taken it upon themselves to record their first CD, scheduled for release sometime this June. http://www.myspace.com/theclipscanada
CINDERPOP play inventive, harmony-drenched, guitar-driven power pop. Featuring alumni of Moev, SK Robot, The Salteens and others, their eclectic sound combines free-floating vocals with dreamy melodies and pulsing guitars to great effect. Their debut "Violet Gamma Rays" charted on college stations across Canada and the U.S., and their latest CD "Their Skies Are Beautiful" continues the journey from pastoral to distorted, whimsical to melancholy with another fine set of songs to sail through. http://www.cinderpop.com
ELIAS delivers a stellar mix of dark, moody vocal melodies, original guitar riffs and haunting keyboards, "making the kind of pulsating, loud rock that the Mars Volta or Radiohead might approve of in equal turns" according to Spin.com, who recently ranked them as one of 8 must-hear bands from Vancouver. http://www.eliasband.com
