English pianist Paul Lewis reaches the end of his epic voyage through Beethoven's 32 Sonatas this season with four concerts at The Chan. And what a profoundly spectacular trip it's been.
If you've already been his travelling companion, you'll need no urging to hear these final works. If you haven't, expect a treat as he continues to look at the great composer in a fresh new way.
Paul Lewis was completely unknown when he made his Canadian debut in the VRS 2000 Chamber Music Festival. Now he's a firm VRS favourite warming audiences with his calm creativity and deeply intelligent playing.
