Event Description
San Francisco rockers New Monsoon have been transforming audiences into dedicated fans with their exhilarating marriage of world rhythms and rock bravado. Vibrant percussion and acoustic and electric instruments come together in a blend of sophisticate songcraft, inventive musical exploration and down home rock 'n' roll both live and on studio albums like Hydrophonic, Downstream, and 2005's The Sound.
The group was awarded Jambase.com's 2003 Emerging Artist of the Year award and has performed at festivals like Bonnaroo, the Oregon Country Fair, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and the 2006 Jamcruise, as well as venues like the Fillmore and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
