Michele Raye & band
Vancouver-based guitarist singer/songwriter Michele Raye, playing her pretty blue guitar, with Sherri Chisholm on percussion and to be announced specials guest musicians. Michele’s Step Inside CD from 2003 includes a cover of It’s Not Unusual and self-penned or co-written up-tempo organic groove tunes. Track “Take Your Time” is on Grrrls With Guitars Volume 2. Michele’s 20-year history as a musician has taken her all over Western Canada with international nightclub work as well. She is presently working on new material which is taking her in more of a funk-hip hop direction. The GWG Rime show will feature tracks from the CD on electric guitar & promises to groove & move.

Hailing from a farm in south central Ontario, Kate Reid maybe a straight shooter but definitely not straight, Kate Reid has busted out of the closet with a knack for candid story-telling and songs that are riddled with humour and social commentary. She tosses in smattering of honesty and heartfelt insight, serving up a show that will have you laughing out loud and maybe even shedding a few tears. The vibrant singer-songwriter describes her music as “….fabulously funny and downright passionate!
