The new Esquimalt Branch opened on May 15, 2003 and was designed by Vic Davies Architect Ltd. and built by Wales McLelland Construction. The Esquimalt Branch faces the Town Square at the back of the Esquimalt Municipal Hall. It is 8,600 square feet on one level, with space for Internet computers, collections and for the public to use for reading and studying. There's also a children's program room to beckon children into storytimes and other programs. The previous Esquimalt Branch officially opened on April 16, 1985. It was designed by Marshall Goldsworthy and Associates and built by Marvet Construction Ltd. It took the place of an even older branch, which had been in the Esquimalt Plaza since 1969.Literary >> Library
