Cowichan Valley Public Art Gallery

Cowichan Valley Public Art Gallery

Confirmed: Feb. 5, 2019 (Awaiting Update)

Our Mission is:

“To promote and establish a public art gallery in the Cowichan Valley”

Our non-profit “Friends of the Cowichan Valley Public Art Gallery Society” intends to bring a purpose-built gallery building to the Cowichan Valley to host ongoing international, national and local art exhibitions and associated programming currently not available.

The building will be built to “A” level standards that have the correct environmental controls required to bring to the valley world class historical and contemporary art exhibitions this area is currently unable to host.

With cultural tourism a proven economic driver, this gallery is expected to bring to the Cowichan Valley the standard 7 to 1 cultural tourism spin off. In other words, for each dollar spent on the gallery, seven dollars is expected to return to the community.

We are a dedicated team, intent on raising awareness and funding in order to realize this project.
