About

Out to Lunch

Imagine a heady combination of James Brown’s rhythmic genius and Eric Dolphy’s brilliant flair for jazz improvisation and you are closing in on the unique charms of Out To Lunch. A startlingly fresh and compelling sextet who play everything from soul-jazz to klezmer electronica. It is rare to get music that simultaneously works so well for the mind and the body: there are complex harmonic and structural developments that co-exist with huge dance grooves and a playful sensibility that translates into mind-expanding fun out on the dance floor.
