My art has often been described as whimsical, with a lot of my inspiration coming from nature - from the coolness of the ocean to the pallet of colours of freshly fallen leaves. My medium is mainly acrylic paints with a dabble of water colour pencils, oil pastels and anything else that catches my fancy - from tissue paper, glass beads and wire, to the buttons on your shirt. If it sticks to canvas, chairs, mirrors, or whatever I'm painting at the moment - if it enters my realm of creative vision I'll snap it up and use it.

I also like to express myself through carving soapstone, making beaded jewelry, sculpting with clay and creating digital artwork with Adobe Photoshop. I got my first set of paints about 16 years ago but didn't really do much with them. I think I painted a few t-shirts but then life came along and my paints went into the attic. I worked as a graphic designer for the last 20 years with 10 of those years working for the British Columbia provincial government as a graphic designer & Communications professional. In 2002 I branched out on my own and opened my own graphic design business. Shortly after that I went up to the attic, blew the dust off my paints and brushes and I've been painting ever since.
