Jessica's connection to music started at age six when her father rescued a piano from a church basement and refinished it in their garage. Having grown up with exposure to everything from Sam Cooke to Sex Pistols to Linda Ronstadt to RunDMC, Jessica's musical tastes and influences are far- reaching and diverse. Best described as "bluesy pop with an edge," Jessica's music appeals to a broad audience and has provoked fans to comment it represents the moment you know things are going to get better". Jessica is carving out her own unique brand of accessible and intelligent pop.
Winner of Calgary radio station VIBE 98.5 Unsigned Vibe 2004 contest, Jessica was awarded funding to record her album "Sticky Hands" and produce a video for the single "Change". "We are very excited about promoting Jessica's release on Standard Radio stations across the country," says Vibe 98.5's Music Director Chad Martin.
Sticky Hands is currently available in stores across Canada and online at www.maplemusic.com.
Despite her secret desire to be stranded on a deserted island with Tom Waits, a piano and a case of Lagavulin, Jessica currently shares her time between Vancouver and Toronto.
