CVRD - Cowichan Lake Recreation owns and/or operates 5 facilities in 4 different communities around Cowichan Lake. Four of these facilities are community halls and one contains a bowling alley. Each of the halls has at least one stage and has been used for performances by theatre groups and live bands. Centennial Hall is adjacent to the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena in Lake Cowichan. The Hall has two floors. The Upper Hall is 3500 square feet and has a seating capacity of 250 with a stage and bar. The Lower Hall, which can accommodate up to 150 people, features a stage, a bar and a full size commercial kitchen. There are two large ball fields beside the hall. This venue is designed to host sports events, theatre productions, meetings, private functions and public gatherings.
