Backyard String Band

This roving five-piece band is made up of local organic farmers, sound engineers, healers, carpenters and (of course) musicians. They will delight your senses with their three (and sometimes four) part harmonies, their original (yet somehow old-timey) folk songs, and their rousing original instrumental tunes written under the influence of hundreds of years of Celtic and Appalachian traditional melodies and modes. With two fiddles, mandolin, guitar, banjo, slide guitar, upright bass, tin whistle, bodhran and rainstick, this talented group is sure to please with its fresh, rootsy and truly organic sound!
