I first learned to do monotypes and relief prints in a class in 2005, and was instantly hooked! I have since done some etching, aquatint, copper etching, printing on fabrics and collographs. My preference continues to be for low tech printmaking - monotypes, and lino/relief prints. I am exploring more abstract images in monotypes and renewing my acquaintance with collograph printing. I enjoy colour and texture.I love the excitement of the reveal when a print is first pulled from the plate!
I enjoy sharing my techniques with others and have led some small workshops in monotype and relief print. I continue to be an active member of Printmakers Only Group, and to be inspired by the work the members produce.
