2005 CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS

CBC is pleased to present the CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, to be broadcast live on CBC Television Monday, September 12 at 8 p.m. ET (9 p.m. AT, 9:30 NT).

Paul Brandt, the most awarded male Country artist in Canadian history, will host the 2005 CCMA show from Calgary’s Pengrowth Saddledome. This will be the sixth time the Calgary-born Brandt has hosted the CCMAs. This year’s show pays tribute to Alberta’s Centennial Anniversary, and will be celebrated with fellow Albertans Terri Clark and Carolyn Dawn Johnson.

The Canadian Country Music Awards celebrates the best in Canadian country music, honouring singers, writers, musicians, producers and behind-the-scenes experts who have contributed to the country music scene.
