The gifted young Vancouver pianist Amanda Tosoff is a rising star. An award-winning graduate of Capilano College’s jazz studies program, Tosoff has already established herself on our local scene. She leads a quartet of super-talented young local players, including Evan Arntzen tenor/soprano sax, Sean Cronin bass, and Morgan Childs drums. The band plays a mix of standards and originals, with Tosoff’s swing reflecting the sound of such greats as Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly, and Bill Evans. They’ll be joined by the great Canadian trumpeter Brad Turner.
