British saxophonist John Butcher’s tenor or soprano sax is an ensemble unto itself as he makes use of circular breathing, multiple trills, and multiphonics. A highly respected European improviser, he’s worked with an unbelievable cross section of international collaborators, including Cor Fuhler, Phil Minton, Derek Bailey, and others. Collaborators bassist Torsten Müller and drummer Dylan van der Schyff are two of Canada’s finest improvising musicians who appear in numerous collaborations in the Festival. Although Butcher’s discography is enormous, this dynamic trio’s recent disc on Drip Audio, Way out Northwest, is a high-water mark! A must-hear performance!
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
