Toronto-born drummer/composer Harris Eisenstadt defies categorization as an artist. He’s worked with ad hoc improvised music groups with renowned musicians such as Nels Cline, Sam Rivers, and Paul Rutherford; in projects with musicians as varied as Bobby Bradford and Bernie Worell; in large ensembles led by Barry Guy and Yusef Lateef; and in world music bands with traditional musicians from Bali, Gambia, Morocco, and Senegal. This quartet finds Eisenstadt performing his own compositions with two of Vancouver’s most creative players — François Houle clarinet, Sara Schoenbeck bassoon, and Tommy Babin bass.
