Alison MacKenzie

Alison attended the Vancouver Art School for two years and the Alberta College of Art in Calgary for three years, where she majored in advertising art, graduating with honours in 1975. She worked as a layout artist and screen-printer in sign shops for a few years, then was employed as a graphic artist for the City of Calgary for five years. Alison moved to Vancouver Island in 1982 and is currently freelancing as a graphic designer. Although she enjoys her chosen career, Alison’s real love has always been with the fine arts. A stylistically diverse artist, Alison’s creative output encompasses a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, and printmaking.
