Music Motivations: The Power of Music in Social Issues with Digital Hobo

Music Motivations is our new series showcasing talent across the Rockies and what drives the stories they tell through their music and life projects. Our first episode is on the very special Digital Hobo!

Scott Diehl is the force behind Digital Hobo and recently created an album Climate Stories, where every song is themed in environmental awareness. Scott is passionate that climate change is "a social justice issue cleverly disguised as bad weather", and spend his life as a social activist trying to create positive change in our world.

Digital Hobo has developed a special relationship with the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley, and they partnered together for an awareness/fundraising event and album release concert, Jam For Jasper, after the tragic events of last summer when much of our beloved Rocky Mountain town Jasper was lost in a wildfire.

Scott's work does not stop there, as he also organized a protest towards the G7 Summit held in Kananaskis only weeks later. This video feature shows Scott's passion and ability to bring people together with similar views and missions in our world to create a better planet for ourselves and those we will one day leave it to, hoping to ignite the drive within others through the medium of music.
